We came home to a very quiet house. It was strange not coming downstairs and seeing Dakota lying on her bed, or going outside and not seeing her tied to the tree. I realized I am more cautious now in the house knowing that I don't have a dog to gaurd us anymore from intruders. Isaac hasn't shown any signs of confusion yet. He did see a picture we have of her on our desk and he said "Dog" and smiled. We miss her alot, just that relationship that we built with her as being part of our family, our first dog, and now she's not living with us anymore. Our only comfort comes in the knowledge that she is happier where she is now among other dogs. She seems to be getting along well with Becky's dogs Curly and Bandit. I hope she is so distracted by the new dogs that she doesn't miss us as much as we miss her.
