I don't think anyone has told Silas that he's only 21 months old. He already rides a scooter like a pro. He also loves the Strider bike, throwing balls (or anything) and jumping off steps. Pray for this paranoid mama.

Our little bouncy boy
Silas is 18 months old now. Here are his stats from the doctor:
height: 32"
weight: 22 lbs. 6 oz.
Still on the skinny side. Enjoy this video taken of him the other day. Feel free to ignore the laundry on the couch.
The Password is 37, same for all our videos on vimeo.
The doctor said Silas only needs to know five words. Here are some words Silas can say: mamma, dada, eesh (Reece), eye (Isaac), no, ball, mine, wawa, milk, oosh (shoes), bite, bye bye, nye nye, Boo (book), bru (toothbrush), noe (nose), and ofcourse poo poo.
He's our little adventurer. He has to do everything the older kids do, he watches them like a hawk. For instance, Reece and Isaac were leaning in to whisper to each other and Silas leans in and starts whipsering gibberish with them. He's also picked up how to spit his water at the end of brushing his teeth. If you try to leave with the two kids and leave him behind he'll throw himself on the floor and have a fit. He's also obsessed with drawing on the dry erase boards. Thank goodness it washes off easily. He makes everyone in the family smile. Love our little guy.

15 month Appointment
Silas had his appointment on June 11, the day we left for our vacation to Sacramento. Mom came down for a week before we left so I would have someone driving up with me. We loved having grandma here and the kids didn't want her to go home. Here's Silas' stats at 15 months.
As the doctor put it, he is a bit of a bean pole. I don't know where he gets that!
- Weight: 21 lbs. 6 oz. (10th percentile)
- Height: 31.2 in. (53rd percentile)
- HC: 18.6 in. (50th percentile)

14 months old Snuggle Bear!
When Silas wakes up from his naps he grabs any blanket he can and any toy before I pick him up to take him out of his crib. He proceeds to snuggle and hold on to them in my lap until he's fully awake. It's so cute.
He also likes to get into daddy's drawer and pull an article of clothing out and take it into the other room. Who knows why, but it cracks us up. He is our bundle of joy, he is playful, excited, sweet, and funny. He's also stubborn, strong and loud, especially during church when he needs to be quiet. Thankfully, everyone thinks it's cute at church.
He loves everybody in our family with all his heart. He loves when daddy gets home, he'll run for the door to have him pick him up. He loves to wrestle with Isaac and he loves to play hid n seek with Reece (and pull on her hair). He's getting so big, I can't believe last year at this time he was just a newborn. We are blessed beyond words.

Our Big One-year old Boy!
I can't believe it's been a year. I know everyone says that, but truly, it boggles my mind. Silas is our happy, smiley, funny, snuggly little one that everyone loves. He tries really hard to keep up with the older two. He wants to follow them wherever they go and do what they are doing. He thinks he's stronger than he really is, by trying to lift really heavy things and carry them around the house. He has 3 teeth, two on bottom and one just came through on top. He's walking around pretty well now. He even tries to speed walk when he's got something in his hands he knows he can't have. He's been sleeping pretty good, we've gotten a few nights without him waking up at all, which is great. He pretty much only says "mamamamamama" or "de de de de", but he knows the sign for food really well. :) He loves baths, and Reece's baby dolls, and any animals. He can wave and tries to say hi. He loves to give kisses. He loves balls, carrying them and kicking them. He's starting to like to sit and read books, but not for too long, he's always on the move. We love our little man and can't wait to see him grow this next year.

First Tooth and First Step
Last weekend, Silas got sick with a fever and had a terribly runny nose. I didn't know where it came from. He was so miserable, the worst we've seen him. Then a few days later we noticed his first bottom tooth popping through. Reece and Isaac got their first tooth at 12 months and never got fevers, so this was new for me. So, January 16 was his first tooth.
Then yesterday I put two blocks in Silas' hands and he took two tiny steps. He took two more steps today, so he's on his way.

Silas 10 months
Our little man is quickly growing. He's getting very close to walking, we thought he'd be walking by now since he's been crawling for so long. It doesn't stop him from getting anywhere he wants as fast as he can go. He tries to sneak up the stairs anytime the gate is open. He has a new found love for drum sticks. He's also recently discovered how to push cars on the carpet to make them go (I don't know how little boys learn that stuff, they just know). This is a video of him this morning at Reece's Karate class pushing his car along the floor. He can also be quite loud and boisterous, trying to get our attention. The password is 3737
He's still a really good sleeper and overall a very happy baby. He wants to do everything his older brother and sister do, and gets frustrated when he can't. He loves to give open mouth kisses. Isaac always wants to hold him or carry him around. He can say "Da" for daddy, and "Ma ma ma" for mama. Love that kiddo.

Silas Turns 9 months old
We introduced him to Cheerios, and he's been an addict ever since. He knows the box and starts moving his whole body when he sees it. He wants anything we have in our hands, will try anything at this point. He doesn't always keep it in his mouth, but at least he tries it. Any bread, pizza crust and crackers are his favorite right now. He's also figured out how to climb out of his high chair, so we've initiated the harness straps to keep him put.
He loves bath time and any water for that matter. Just like his brother and sister. He's trying to climb out of this seat now too, so it might not last much longer.
Silas loves to stand and has been pushing his "Walk-along" toy. At his dr. appt his stats were: 18 lbs. (14th percentile) 28" long (32nd percentile), dr. said he's on the skinny side but that it's totally normal at this age because they are moving so much. As always feel free to check out our Shutterfly page for more photos.

Silas 5 months
Silas turned 5 months on the 9th. He had his dr. appointment with Dr. Rott. The dr. said his neck is probably tilted due to his position in the womb, but he'll stretch out the more tummy time he gets. He weighed 15 llbs. 13 oz. and 25.5" long, which puts him on the 40th percentile. A little smaller than I thought since he seems so long to me.
Silas is sleeping great. He's still wakes up only once at night to eat then is right back to sleep. He takes lots of naps throughout the day still. Silas LOVES his toys and grabbing everything he can get his hands on and putting it in his mouth. Including his big toe, which I think is so cute. He's getting very close to crawling. He's rocking back and forth then falling on his chest. I'll post video of it soon. He loves his brother and sister. Anytime they come close he smiles real big. Isaac can get him to laugh the most.
We gave him some rice cereal for the first time. Even though it's mostly milk, he still gave us the "what is this stuff?"-face. It was quite funny.

Drool Machine
Silas is 20 weeks now. He's our "rolley polley" "drool machine." Although Isaac explained to me that he's not a "drool machine," he is a human being. Thanks Isaac. Our little man is doing so well. He's such a happy baby, loves to smile at us and other people. He's grabbing his toys, our hair and our faces. He's putting everything in his mouth and gnawing like crazy. He's been rolling over for a month now (forgot to mention that earlier). Plus, he's starting to look at our food and reach for it. So, I think we'll be putting him at the table to eat here pretty soon. He loves his big brother and sister, he laughs and coos at both of them, although Isaac can get the biggest smiles out of him.
We are a little concerned about his neck, if you notice all his pictures his head leans to the side. I asked our Dr. about it and he says it's quite common at this age. We're praying it straightens up soon.

16 weeks old
What happened to the time? Man, it goes by so fast. We've been super busy the last month which is why I haven't updated in a while. This photo was taken two weeks ago, but they are so cute I had to use them for this post. Our little Silas is such a joy, he is super happy and gives us huge smiles and coos whenever we pay attention to him. He's just now starting to reach for toys and loves to stick everything in his mouth. He's at that drooly stage, everything gets wet. He's also trying to roll over, he can get to his side easily, but not all the way over yet. He loves to stand up straight and stiff on our laps. It's actually hard to make him bend and sit. I'll post some video hopefully soon of him playing with his ball.
