Trip to Sacramento

The kids and I took a short trip up to Sacramento last week for their cousins birthday. Jake had to stay behind to work, but thankfully I was able to drive up with David and Jo to help through the long 8 hour drive. We stopped at a very cute cheese factory/petting zoo/bbq house. We discovered a 4 story treehouse there with a scary stuffed beaver hidden inside. I hoped Isaac wouldn't notice it but that's all he remembers from there.

Isaac and Reece loved jumping on the trampoline at grandma and grandpa Kenney's house. They had so much fun playing with their cousins. The Schwarthoffs put on a fun birthday party with wooden trains to color, a candy train cake and delicious tacos. The kids were completely wiped out afterwards.

With grandma and grandpa Marta we took the kids to a little zoo in Folsom we had never visited before. It was a small zoo but had some interesting animals, including a tiger and some black bears. They got to ride on a miniature steam train and feed peacocks at grandpa Marta's golf course.

The kids and I had a great time, but we missed daddy very much. We brought home grandma Kenney with us to San Diego. So far the kids are so glad to have her here. Each morning they are excited to come down the stairs to greet her.
