These are pictures of our trip to Bates Nut Farm this year. We went with our good friends on a Monday, so there was not a lot of people there. The kids each picked a pumpkin, rode on the hay ride, and made it through the straw maze. We also visited the farm animals. The kids fed the goats leaves from the ground. Reece giggled and laughed at the goat's taking the leaves. Isaac fed a peacock a leaf, he thought that was hilarious.
One of Isaac's good friend had her birthday party in Julian this year, where we got to pick apples at the apple orchard. This was our first time picking apples at an orchard EVER, we were total newbies. Thankfully the Gailey's showed us the ropes. The kids had a blast running up and down the apple tree rows, picking and "tasting" apples along the way.
Julian is our closest "country town", about an hour drive for us. Best known for it's apple pie and apple cider. So naturally we had to take the opportunity to get some hot apple cider and hot chocolate while we were there. It was extremely cold that day, so we definitely needed the warmth.
Take note, this is Isaac voluntarily eating an apple. Usually the only way I can get him to eat an apple is with a mound of peanut butter.
