Trip to Sac and SoCal Fires

We had a great visit to Sac. Isaac got to see so many fun things,he went to the train museum with grandma and grandpa Kenney, he got to see a fire truck up close and sit in the driver seat with grandma and grandpa Marta, then the air museum at McClellan base (the helicopter was his favorite), an indoor go-cart race track, the park with ducks and apple hill. Whew. Lots to see and do, but very fun. Isaac got a little tired and cranky towards the end of the trip, probably since he hadn't slept well.

The day we were driving home, we heard about the fires in San Diego, we followed the news on the radio the whole way home and decided to stay in LA with my brother until the freeways opened again. We drove home Tues morning with no problems on the roads. We came home to a very smokey town, ash everywhere and a darkened sky. Our area is thankfully safe from the fires, however lots of people we know from church and work were affected by the fires and some may have lost their homes. Please keep them in your prayers as to how we can help them get back on their feet. The good news is there has been lots of help and support from people throughout San Diego. Another reason we love San Deigans, they are always willing to help out in times of need.
