Disneyland and Potty Training

We finally got to take a mini vacation. Thanks to my bro, we got to stay in the California Grand at Disneyland and we got 1 full day at each of the parks. We think Isaac was slightly overwhelmed with it all. He was excited just to be in the hotel and to see Mickey on the printed letterhead. He had no idea he was going to meet the real thing. Here's a run down of what we did and saw.

Day 1: Pixar Parade we saw "Cars" and "Nemo" characters (Isaac's two favorite movies in the whole world), Disneyland fireworks (we were up late for those)

Day 2: Merry-go-round, Dumbo, Storybook ride, tea cups, Toontown, meet Mickey, playground, Peter Pan, Jungle Cruise, Pirates (Isaac did not go on this one), Winnie the Pooh, Buzz Lightyear

Day 3: Playhouse Disney Show, Tortilla factory (mmmm), Bugs Life area which included Heimlich's Chew Chew Train, Flik's Flyers, and Dot's Puddle Park, Grizzly Peak Rec Area, and Turtle Talk with Crush

We did waaaaaay more than I expected. We all were completely pooped by the last day, Isaac fell asleep in the stroller which he hasn't done since he was a baby. It was a blast and we're glad we got to make some memories together and share a fun place with our kids that we've always enjoyed when we were kids. Check out our Shutterfly photos on the left for all the photos.

In other news, Isaac has been doing really well with going on the potty. He kept dry the entire time we were at Disneyland, which I was sure we would have an accident on our hands. He doesn't tell us when he needs to go yet, but at least he goes when we do. So, that was a pleasant surprise.

Reece is Miss Grabby now. She sees something shiny or a cool pattern and she lunges for it to grab it. She loves to put anything in her mouth as well, which Isaac never did as a baby, so we know she's definitely starting out different than him. She's also got some pteradactyl (yes, that's how it's spelled) lungs on her. She likes to fall asleep next to us on the bed while she holds our fingers, it's quite cute. Then we move her into her bed when she's in deep asleep.
