Our Baby Girl is 2!

Reece at age 2:
She still sleeps in her crib, with her favorite blanky on her tummy with her butt in the air. She goes to sleep talking and singing to herself and wakes up the same way. Sometimes she counts and sometimes she is singing Happy Birthday to mommy. Each morning she has a cheerful smile as she says "Good morning Ike" "Good morning Mommy."

She has been potty trained since early November. I was not expecting her to be trained so early, but she was just ready on her own. One of the added benefits to the second born child I guess. Thank You Lord! She still has the occasional accident but for the most part is great and she tells me when she needs to go.

She is learning to color better and better. Right now she loves using every color in her crayon box and will sit for a rather long time doing arts and crafts with Isaac. I do have to watch her very carefully during craft time because she likes to climb up on the table and reach into Isaac's marker box and draw marker all over her hands. One time I took away her paint brush to start cleaning up, and when I turned around she had put paint all over her face.

I love that Reece will eat a variety of foods, at least when she's not sick. She will eat almost everything, although not a lot of meat. She even ate peas like it was the best thing ever. Her favorite fruit would be either strawberries or grapes.

She loves to play with her Little People and Wonder Pets characters right now. She likes to feed her babies their bottles and give them hugs as she says "Awwww." She is a crack up to watch. Her enthusiasm just bounces out of her in her dancing and everything she says and does.

Isaac just loves to play with Reece. They are the best of friends. She makes him laugh and he makes her laugh. They still love to run around the house making funny noises at each other. Isaac likes to get Reece to say funny words so he can laugh at them. They are learning how to share with each other, and how to talk nicely to each other. Sometimes Isaac will tell me "Reece is grumpy, she needs a nap." Reece leads prayer each night before bed. She knows the routine and Isaac lets her take the lead.

She loves to wash dishes with us. I think it's the whole playing with water and cups thing. Hopefully we can keep her loving it. Hee Hee.

She loves going to Sunday school each Sunday. She pays attention to the lessons and the songs and loves to participate. Quite the opposite of how Isaac was at this age. She adapts very quickly and is definitely the social bug.

We love our little Reecey so much and can't wait for all the fun she will bring in the future years to come. Happy Birthday Sweetie!

Thanks for the details. It seems like we miss so much, even though we see them every couple of months. She is such a beautiful little girl.
