We had quite an eventful Easter weekend with the kids. Saturday we attended Daybreak Church's EGGstravaganza. Everything was FREE and they had tons to do. The kids did the jump house for quite a while and wore themselves out pretty quick. Next was the egg hunt which consisted of eggs strewn across a 50 sq foot area with mass amount of kids grabbing eggs as quickly as possible. It was a little crazy with all the kids, parents and even strollers. Reece got 4 eggs but Isaac got a good amount so he could share. Next was the jumbo slide and cookie decorating. By lunch the kids were exhausted and crying to go home. Everyone took a good nap when we got home including grandma K.
Easter Sunday morning the kids hunted for eggs again around the house. Isaac was really good at it and found almost all the eggs dad had hidden in odd places. Reece loved her little bunny bicycle toy and was content to play with that. Daddy was bummed he missed it and had to be at work for the morning shift.
Church at RDR was AWESOME!! The service was packed and even our new neighbors came, Woo Hoo! Worship was awesome and pastor Matt gave an awesome message that truly brought new light to the story of the resurrection. He always seems to be able to do that no matter how many times I've heard the story. Listen to it here.
Easter lunch with the Iwasaki family followed. Lots of great food, kids got to play in the yard and we sat and soaked up the beautiful so-cal sun. Good times with good friends. I'm also so glad my mom is in town to help us celebrate. The kids really love having grandma here.
