On our way home from Sacramento, we decided to take a detour west to San Luis Obispo where some of our friends live. We stayed in Pismo Beach at a hotel walking distance to the beach. We had some excellent food there which included some delicious pizza and fresh, homemade cinnamon rolls.
Our visit with our friends included a trip to the famous SLO farmers market. It was definitely bigger than our little fruit and vegetable farmers market here in Escondido. There was lots to see and even fun stuff for the kids to do, including a bounce house, which the kids were begging to go on.
This photo is our last day in Pismo on the pier. The kids had a blast and so did Jake and I. We're glad to be home now and get back into our comfortable routine.
